My name is Alex and I am the American Entrepreneur. Today, June 5th 2020, we have launched a new medical transcription company powered by AI. I am humbled by this experience and how far we could get. We designed a secure automatic transcription service for audio and video files to convert your medical records and interviews into legible text. MDGlot supports English language and has a way to recognize speakers!
In this blog post, we are presenting a live transcription of a YouTube video with two speakers and some background music. This transcript was not edited and shows exactly what our software picked up and what didn’t.
I hope you will find this technology useful for your medical needs. We welcome your feedback and suggestions.

My name is Erica Gum, and I’m a medical transcriptionist. Medical transcription has been such a blessing in my life. If I’d have known that I could make money from home while watching six Children, I wouldn’t have believed it. But yet here I am. I always know I’m part of my kid’s life. I’m always here if they need me. And if they’re sick, you know I can still work while they’re sick. I can still plan from things in the middle of the day and then come back and work. And so I just really love the flexibility of. And I also love it because it’s interesting, too. It’s not just gibberish. I’m typing up. It’s like people’s stories and their medical history and their treatment, and it makes it really interesting. The type and it’s different every day.

Medical transcriptionists are the highly trained professionals who turned the notes healthcare providers dictate after interacting with the patients into the formal written documents that become a part of patients. Medical records were

the ones that create the records that medical providers used Teo take care of their patients without transcription. There wouldn’t be another set of eyes, so look over the records and make sure that they’re accurate and correct.

One of the perks of being a medical transcriptionist is that it is primarily a work at home career. Most transcriptionists work from home for large national companies, and they can often choose their work schedule and have the flexibility to work around other family and personal responsibilities.

So my schedule is a medical transcriptionist is I try to wake up early in the morning like five in the morning so I can get some uninterrupted work time in before my kids are even awake. But if I don’t wake up, really, that’s fine, because I can do it after they get them off to school or even after they go to bed at night. But ideally, I wake up early and then the kids wake up and I get them breakfast. I get some more works in, and then I get them off to school. And then, um, I get the little kids, Um, because I still have three little ones at home. Um, I get them involved in an activity, and then I I try to get more work done and hopefully finish. And if not you know, it’s really flexible, so I conge us to do it as I can throughout taking care of kids. Will they?

With advances and technology, many medical transcriptionists have shifted from their traditional transcribing role to doing more editing work on files originally generated by speech recognition software. Speech

recognition software cannot replace human beings. While it’s really awesome that we have technology that can translate dictation into the written format, it cannot be accurate because there are accents and computers don’t know everything. They’re not humans. They won’t catch those little errors and mistake. So that’s way we need editors to still go over the records and make sure everything is accurate because in the medical field, accuracy is pretty important. I have loved being a medical transcriptionist. The work I do is interesting and the flexibility is is awesome. And I know what I’m doing isn’t really important. It’s something that needs to be done, and so it’s a legitimate job and makes me feel good that I can be a good mom and be able to do something important at the same time.
